United In Recovery - 2016
Since 2009, STEP Industries and The Mooring Programs have
honored National Recovery Month by hosting their annual United in
Recovery fundraising event. The 8th Annual United
in Recovery event may be over, but the impacts of the evening will
go on for a long time. We saw many new faces this year which means
that even more people were able to learn about the difference The
Mooring Programs and STEP Industries is making in their
communities.
Our thanks once again this year to all of our volunteers,
to Jeff Jirschele for making a wonderful emcee, to Natalie Rein and
Jeanne Loehnis for giving us such beautiful songs to start out the
program, to Mark Lundholm for giving us a performance that left us
all with sore sides again from laughing, and most importantly, to
all of our wonderful sponsors and in-kind donors! We absolutely
could not continue to offer this event without your support. A huge
thank you to U. S. Venture for being our Entertainment Sponsor, the
J. J. Keller Foundation for providing us with a $10,000 match
challenge, to Charles and Jean Gorham for being our Inspirational
Sponsor and BOLDT company for being our Encouraging
Sponsor.
You STILL have time to participate in this challenge. J.J.
Keller will match, up to $10,000, all donations made to United in
Recovery until December 1st. And we
are over half way there BUT we NEED your help to reach
it.
Please consider donating today so it is matched and your
gift is doubled. Your donations offer both financial support of
course; even more importantly, they offer support to the many men
and women we serve by letting them know people care, and care
about the efforts they are making in their sobriety!
Donations are accepted via our website below. If you prefer to
write a check, please make checks payable to: STEP
Industries.
Thank you!
